RME – Happy Easter!!!

Confident Individuals

This week, the Sunflowers have had lots of Easter fun. We enjoyed sensory play, making tissue chicks, colour matching egg games and egg painting.  The children have also made Easter baskets and took part in an Easter egg hunt in the garden.  We finished the week by making Easter cakes and decorating biscuits.  Today, everyone enjoyed outdoor  play together as we will really miss each other over the next two weeks!

Easter Bunny

The Easter bunny paid a visit to class on Thursday. All the boys were please to see him and receive a chocolate egg. They were all Responsible Citizens. One of the boys wasn’t anywhere to be found when the Easter Bunny was about, I can’t think of a reason why…………

Spring Chickens in the Pine Room 🐥

Monday was Holi, Hindu Festival of Colour which celebrates the arrival of spring.

Instead of throwing paint Boyle thought tissue paper wouldn’t be as messy.

This confident individual, enjoyed making a Holi Spring Tree.

We made some lovely Easter Sun-catchers in Art, sitting in our lift pants and practicing our sitting skills.

This successful learner worked on his gripping skills, using clothes pegs and pom-poms to paint.

SQA Group Performance – Amazing Coat

Succesful Learners – Literacy Listening Skills

The Transition boys applied their literacy skills to some Easter work this week. They were Successful Learners following instructions read aloud to choose the correct colours and fill in the picture of the Easter Bunny

Effective Contributors – Upcycling

The Transition were Effective Contributors when they finished one of their upcycling projects. The roads and road signs are ready for delivery to the primary classes after the Easter Holiday. The boys at the beginning of the week used their numeracy skills to measure and count to make up their order to finish one of our other projects, the bottle greenhouse. Well done boys!

Focused Areas of Learning – Enterprise – Easter Cards

The Planets class made a choice of which Easter card they wanted to make for their family. They used materials to make their chosen card and used their best writing skills to sign the card inside.

We have been confident individuals creating some yummy tasty treats for our families!

 

We were responsible citizens, sharing the ingredients with our peers and carefully spooned the chocolate mix into the cake cases.
