The Transition boys were all Successful Learners making totals with money in a Numeracy lesson. The boys had to make sure not to go over the total asked for or the Evil Banker (Mr Nicoll) would keep the extra! Luckily all boys managed to keep their correct change.

Math Games
We all had fun taking part in a variety of different math games, we were working on our memory skills.
All the boys were successful learners and were very engaged.
We had to listen three numbers that were only said once and then press the numbers in the correct order on the sequencer.
Also listened to the pattern the bell was played and copy the same pattern back.
Also we had the numbers on a dice and then we had 3 seconds to look at the position of the balls before it was covered again to see at a glance if we could say the number that was there.
We Are Out and About
First Oak outing of the year, the boys were all very excited to go a walk and it was a lovely morning. All boys were very responsible citizens and were very good with their traffic awareness.
We went to shop and used our coins to pay for our items, the boys were responsible for carrying their own money to the shop and not losing it.
A great morning out in the community.
On Tuesday morning was were all hard working individuals during our Numeracy class time. Some of us enjoyed the counting songs, others matching the objects to the numbers, some counting and looking for the missing numbers – Maths is Fun!!!

What’s The Time ?
Transition boys were Successful Learners by showing the time on their own analog clocks during their numeracy lesson.
Shut the Box
The Transition boys were Effective Contributors when they played ‘Shut the Box’ this week (Mr Nicoll’s favourite game!). They had to make their own dice from a template and add the correct number of dots. The boys then worked in pairs to try and roll combinations of numbers which corresponded to the numbers from two to twelve. The first team to complete this, shut the box.
Changing Seasons
The Stars Class have noticed the trees are changing in the garden. We collected different coloured leaves and made colourful autumn prints with them. We had fun exploring a Nanny McPhee story bag and handling the props.
The Royal Bank of Transition
The Transition boys had money on their minds this week. They were Successful Learners as they improved their money identification skills ready for a treasure hunt. Storm Ali had other ideas though, so the treasure hunt was moved indoors.
National Maths Week!
The Oak Class have been busy boys this week with all of their maths work. They have really enjoyed the variety of maths activities.
All the boys have been successful learners.
During this activity the boys had to know their directions as they were blind folded and had to listen to instructions very carefully to get to the opposite side carefully.
Blake and Jack had to guide Mr Bark safely to the end using their knowledge of left, right, forwards and backwards.
The boys then had to do a hunt following instructions of how many steps to get to the jigsaw piece and which direction to go.
They worked as a team to put the jigsaw pieces of our class together!
Enjoying the games during counting work.
