Odd Sock Day!

* SUCCESSFUL LEARNERS, CONFIDENT INDIVIDUALS, EFFECTIVE CONTRIBUTORS, RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS *

The Moonbeams class enjoyed celebrating Word Down Syndrome day by wearing our odd socks! We also went on an odd sock hunt around the school. We managed to find 28 socks and had to put them into pairs.

We also looked at a visual story about a girl Daisy who had down syndrome. We found out about Daisy having an extra chromosome and made a paper chain showing this, which we all enjoyed.

The Bluebells have participated in a variety of activities this week for the Big Pedal. They demonstrated that they were responsible citizens as they walked to the local Library and looked both ways before they crossed the road.  The children were successful learners as they walked around Tesco looking for ingredients. They have been getting lots of exercise during outdoor play on the bikes and scooters and today they took part in an obstacle course which was lots of fun! The Bluebells have walked thousands of steps this week! Well done!

On Friday we were all Confident Individuals when taking part in races with the Sunflowers class. We had to move around and under obstacles, crawl through tunnels, and follow the arrows to follow the course. We had lots of fun!
