On Friday afternoon, the Bluebells class enjoyed moving around the infant classes and enjoying a range of spooky Halloween activities. We explored a spooky sensory carpet and many sensory trays where we had to find insects, rats and bats!
We also made spooky Halloween biscuits and had fun dooking for apples!
We got to choose whether we wanted to make a ghost or cat craft and finally enjoyed playing spooky bowling, pin the nose on the witch and pin the eye on the monster!
The Stars class enjoyed Hallowe’en activities this week and a wonderful visit from Singing Hands. The fun was enough to, ‘waken the dead!’.
Happy Halloween! We had our Halloween party this morning, lots of games and dancing. Some people became very competitive!
Then our special visitors this afternoon, Singing Hands! Confident individuals all round today and everyone fully engaged in all the activities. They all also coped very well with a day that was completely out of our usual daily routine.
The Transition boys were sad to say goodbye to Mr Jenkinson as he leaves us for pastures new. Thanks for everything Mr Jenks, you’ll be missed!
The Transition boys were Confident Individuals when Singing Hands visited us. The boys sang and signed very well all afternoon. Thanks to Friends of Willowbank for organising this!
The Transition boys were Successful Learners when they went to the Kay park. They investigated Autumn colours and collected a wide range of leaves. They also found conkers, sticks, sycamore seeds and ivy. They used all their autumn treasure to make art displays back in the classroom.
The boys were Confident Individuals when they took part in lots of Hallowe’en activities. This ended with a great Hallowe’en pary on Friday morning.
It was the Transition class’ turn to host the assembly this week. The boys were Responsible Citizens when they told the secondary school how to keep healthy. They demonstrated different ways to stay healthy and Mr Jenkinson even got his make up done as part of a pamper session!
