Responsible Citizens – Red Nose Day

The Transition  were Responsible Citizens and the class took part in a few Red Nose Day activities. They were challenged from another class to try and get a biscuit from their forehead to their mouth without using their hands. A lot of chocolate got on faces! We also did some painting with a hammer! We designed a face to add a red nose to. Lots of red paint was put in the nose area which was covered before being splatted with a hammer! Just as well we had our protective suits on!

Successful Learners – Science Cooking

The Transition class were Successful Learners when they applied science to their cooking class. They juiced lemons and had a wee taste, some very funny faces was the result. They then added some sugar before adding a spoonful of baking soda. The reaction was instant! There were a lot of bubbles produced when the powder reacted with the acidic lemon juice. Some bubbles flowed over the cup and onto the table. The resulting drink was a bit better tasting!

Successful Learners – Science Week

It was science week recently. The class were Successful Learners when they, tricked their sense of smell, made rice dance with sound, tested their hearing, tasted some awful baby food to guess the ingredients and put their sense of touch to the test. The class had great fun trying our experiments.

SUNGAZERS SUPER SPLASH!

**SUCCESSFUL LEARNERS**

Since we have been enjoying this lovely weather all week, the Sungazers decided to have some water play fun outside. We filled and emptied various volumes of water from one cylinder to another and watched them overflow……some ended up going over board but this just made for more fun as we were making little splashes and then creating footprints on the ground. A fun filled Friday!

Mother’s Day Crafts

Confident Individuals

The Moonbeams have been busy making special cards for Mother’s Day. The children had great fun creating designs on a special material that bakes in the oven to make keyrings. We hope all the families have a lovely day on Sunday.
