Poppy Scotland has launched a Writing Competition for children from P5 to S3. The theme for 2022 is ‘The Day War Started’. They would like you to think about how quickly conflicts can start and why. The theme links to the 40th anniversary of the Falklands War, but also to the current conflict in Ukraine.
If you would like to enter the competition, please use the link below for further details:

Ayrshire Schools Swimming Championship takes place on Sunday 6th November at The Citadel, Ayr. Warm-up 12.30pm, start 1.15pm
There are 4 individual events: 50m freestyle/ breaststroke/ fly/ backstroke. Swimmers can enter up to 3 of these events and must enter through the school. We will cover the cost of entries. Depending on numbers we will also enter one or more relay teams.
It is the school’s responsibility to ensure that the children who enter are strong enough swimmers, so we respectfully ask for entries from KASC (or other clubs) swimmers. Please note this takes place on a Sunday, so parents / carers will have responsibility for taking their child on the day.
If your child is able and would like to compete in the gala, please email Mrs Lawson with which events they would like to enter and any PB times for 50m in each stroke by Friday 28th October.

We had a lovely full school Harvey assembly this morning.
It was lovely to hear our P5-7 Choir for the first time this session as well as learn new facts about Harvest Time.
We also welcomed Rev McNaughtan to the school for the event.
Thank you to our P6 and P7 pupils who led today’s assembly.
