STEM Homework Task.
Mrs Cameron is working with us for the next 2 weeks. We are looking at flight.
Here is a research/information task to help you with tasks over the next fortnight.
You’ll be learning about how aircraft fly this week. I would like you to do some research on the different types of aircraft that are out there at the minute and also have a look for different concepts for future aircraft. (a ‘concept’ is an idea that hasn’t been fully designed or built yet).
Here are a couple of links to the NASA website as a starting point.
https://www.nasa.gov/centers/armstrong/Features/leaptech.html
https://www.nasa.gov/topics/aeronautics/features/flight_2025.html
Some other companies that currently make aircraft are Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier and Cessna. You could google ‘future aircraft concepts Boeing’ for example and see what these companies are sharing with the pubic.
Things to think about’ are the shape of the aircraft, what are the engines like, what do the engines run on.
SPIRIT Horizon Project

We had fun taking part in the Horizon 3 Dragons’ Den Project.
Everyone got a certificate and a pen. Roan, Katy and Joe won individual prizes, donated by SPIRIT, for their contributions throughout the week. Well done to everyone.
