I have seen this happening many times and I don’t know why the message is not getting through to parents. Is it going to take a child getting knocked down or a car accident to make everyone stop and think? Not only could these things happen, but the pollution from all these cars at our children’s school is affecting their health. If you have to take the car can you take a few kids and car share? Encourage your kids to walk, cycle.
Schools should be having more challenges on sustainable ways the kids get to school. Not just when it is walk to school week or cycle to school week. Cycling Scotland have an award for Cycling Friendly primary schools. https://www.cycling.scot/what-we-do/cycling-friendly/primary-school
