Football Final….
This is a picture of our football team as they headed out last night to play Alloway PS in the Ayrshire Cup final at Dam Park. Unfortunately it was not to be this time around with Alloway coming out on top. However, the boys can hold their heads high as they competed so well in an enjoyable game played in front of a busy stand. They were obviously disappointed but we were all so proud of them. There’s still the semi-final of the Dunlop Cup this week, boys….
Many thanks to all the parents, children and staff who went along last night to support the team, not forgetting Mr Hay and Mr Darnbrough for their invaluable coaching.

Parking Again!!
Once again we are receiving complaints from people who live near the school about inconsiderate and dangerous parking. If you have to bring a car to drop off or collect a child, please keep away from corners and stop parking across driveways. Ask anyone who collects your child to do the same! Be considerate and respectful please.
We also have another problem, people are continuing to park in the drop off zone and on the roundabout, despite our lovely new signs clearly telling you not to!
Pollution! As a school we are teaching children to look after the environment. Many classes are learning about air pollution and about the impact it has on our health. Cars are big cause of air pollution and we been aware of people parking for long periods of time with their engine running! Car idling is an offence. Please stop this. Ask yourself, do I need to bring a car at all?
Please help us and stop this once and for all.

Football – All the way to the final!
They’ve only gone and done it! The boys football team has reached the final of the Ayrshire Cup beating Galston 6-1 tonight at Grange. After going down 1-0 they pushed forward and booked their place at Dam Park this Friday night (time tbc).
This is a huge achievement as it is North, South and East Ayrshire schools who all play in this tournament. They will now play Alloway PS for the trophy.
It would be lovely if they could have some support in the stands on Friday night, so if you are free and would like to come along it would be great for the boys to feel the full force of Gargieston behind them. Let’s get those posters and banners started!
