It’s Thursday! – 23rd April 2020

Morning Folks,

How did you all get on yesterday? It was lovely to see some of your work on twitter. You have been working hard!

Did you all spot the Mrs Short mistake on the plans? Yes my brain was still on holiday and I got the date wrong! Silly Mrs Short. Yesterday was actually the 22nd April not the 21st!

Anyway today is definitely the 23rd.

Here are your activities for today.

Looking forward to seeing all your hard work. Remember to upload pictures onto twitter.

Missing you all

Mrs Short

Tuesday 21.4.20

Hello,

Here is the learning grid for today! How about you do some Handwriting outside in the sunshine! ( This is another thing the children like to do in Term 4!) I look forward to seeing more work shared so I can see how you are getting on! Thanks to those who are sharing regularly, it really does make these times easier seeing the children (who we are missing so much) and having a look at their wonderful learning at home!

Reading

You can use books from home or from any of the resources we have mentioned previously. Remember reading magazines and comics or information online is also still Reading experience! Reading lessons in class are of course all about being able to read the words building upon Phonics skills, but equally important is the ability to demonstrate understanding of the text through comprehension tasks and also the ability to be able to offer opinions, compose and answer questions, talking about characters and plot, making predictions and summaries, being able to identify fiction and non-fiction etc. therefore tasks set on a Monday will reflect these skills.

I think this is all you need for today but if I think of anything else I will put it up, I will be checking in regularly to see how you are getting on!

Good Morning!

What a lovely sunny day! Definitely a great opportunity for some outdoor learning! Why not do some Maths or read a book outside? Or do some phonics in chalk on the ground? Or use magic paint(water!) to do some outdoor work? Another thing we like to do especially in Term 4 is get outside and make nature pictures on the ground using twigs, leaves, stones etc. Remember the work we are setting is as close to what we would be doing in school as possible, but we are not IN school! This continues to be a strange time for us all. Do what you can do, but more importantly enjoy the time with your family and remember learning takes place all around us in all sorts of ways! We love to see examples of your learning so please keep sharing! We miss you and hope to see you soon!

Last Day of Term!

Morning Everyone!

Well today is the last day of term. Remember it’s dress down day…LOL. I’m sure we have all been dressing down these last two weeks. Maybe we should make today a pyjama day instead!

Anyway here is the work for today. There has been lots of great Easter activities in your plans this week and hopefully you have managed to do some. If not maybe try some over the holidays.

It’s great to see your work appearing this week on twitter. I loved the Lego challenge pirate ship. I’ve seen some great baking going on and a fabulous entry for the Easter bonnet competition. Keep posting as it’s great to see what you’re all up to but also to see you are all fit and well. Well done everyone for your hard work.

Have a great Friday

Take Care
