Art inspired by music
We used our sense of hearing. We listened to “The Aquarium” music then we dipped our paper into marbling inks in water. It was amazing to see the effect on the paper. We drew the fish and other sea creatures that we had imagined. We added ripped paper for coral.
We made arms for a Voki using construction
Look closely, some arms have moving elbows, hands and fingers.

We are learning about Place Value in Maths. This is a game that we have enjoyed playing in class.

Welcome back!
The summer term is here…even if the weather hasn’t quite got the message yet! Don’t forget we’re having a special fundraiser on Friday so wear a silly hat, a wig or do something crazy with your hair and remember to bring a small donation for brain tumour research.
What’s Mrs Little going to do? Here’s a clue…
April Fool
Mrs Little tried to play a few tricks on us this morning. When we arrived in the classroom the image on the Smartboard screen was upside down, all our chairs were missing…but Mrs Little pretended that they were all perfectly normal. We also had a very long list of work on the visual timetable – not what we expected for a Friday!

Capacity Capers!
We have been learning about Capacity in Maths. The P3s are finding out about litres and half litres while the P2s are comparing different containers. We worked together today to sort this huge selection of containers from smallest to biggest. First we had to estimate which contained the most and we placed them in the order we thought was correct. Then we had to measure them with water to see if we were correct. We were quite surprised by some of the results.
Here is the final order after testing (with the largest capacity starting at the top right and moving round in a clockwise direction).
Clever Countdown Poem
Countdown Alliteration Poem
by Neo, Dean, Dylan
Ten terrifying tractors turning.
Nine nasty Nessies kneeling.
Eight annoying apes.
Seven slithering snakes sitting.
Six sneaky seals swimming.
Five fighting flies flying.
Four fit fish flipping.
Three thin thorns.
Two tiny tarantulas tricking.
One wobbly wall.
