We took part in Cool Chemistry and Light it up workshops. sucking up milk in a syringe pushing water out of the syringe sprinkling on pepper so that we can see the invisible skin (surface tension) food colouring on water washing up liquid made a hole in the invisible skin washing up liquid made the food colouring run away to the side of the dish creating a design to signal SOS using an LED Sarah swinging a bucket of water around but she didn’t get wet! What force kept the water in the bucket? Ask us about the invisible skin on liquids, surface tension and what kept the water in the bucket as she swung it around?
