The Wind Band is the stage after the Prep Band in the musical journey for our young people and is open to all of our woodwind, brass and percussion students who have reached around Grade 3 Associated Board standard on their instrument as this is the minimum standard required for a National 5 practical music performance.  The Wind Band provides a great platform for our developing musicians to hone the skills required to work and perform well with others and to become more proficient on their instruments.

Rehearsals take place on a Friday after school from 4.15pm – 6.15pm in Coatbridge High School where the pupils work towards a Christmas Concert in Motherwell Concert Hall and a Spring concert held in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
