The Traditional Music Group meet in Coatbridge High School where they develop the necessary skills that allow the young musicians to produce high quality Scottish traditional music, be it on the harp, fiddle, accordion, guitar or drums.

The Traditional Music Group provides a focus of expression for the increasing awareness and interest in Scottish traditional culture which also fuses many traditional elements with modern musical idioms and forms.

Rehearsals take place on a Friday after school from 4.15pm – 6.15pm in Coatbridge High School where the pupils work towards a Christmas Concert in Motherwell Concert Hall and a Spring concert held in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
