Dinosaur fossil flip books

The children in room 3 have been learning all about fossils and how they are made. They were then able to match particular fossils to specific donosaur species and made these super cool flip books to show their work.

Well done guys!

Stuart Reid – Whole School Book Reading

All of our children  (and staff!) enjoyed a visit from the author Stuart Reid this morning.  Everyone was full of enthusiasm during the book reading, with some lucky children being chosen to participate by showing their acting skills.  Many thanks to all the parents and carers who encouraged their child to buy a signed book at the end of the event.  The book signing was so popular Stuart had to rush to his car to get more books.  A great morning which I’m sure your child will be keen to  tell you more about.

Room 1 Active Literacy

This week we have been sequencing the story of The Three Bears. We used partner reading to practise the story, we then took part in a cut and stick activity to sequence and retell the story and finally we used a clicker grid on the smartboard to help us write the story. We are also working hard on our spelling with the help of our magnetic letters and fun spelling games. Click HERE to see us at work.
