As a school, we will continue to send out our letters with next sessions information as planned operating the 50% model. We will wait for further announcements and advice, which we will share with you on the Blog and App as things become more apparent over the summer.
We thank you for your support and patience with this matter.
Today’s announcement from the Scottish Government outlines the plan to reopen all schools on a full time basis from August.
We are currently considering the practicalities and implications of this announcement and will await further clarification and guidance from government, particularly in relation to public health and scientific advice.
Our priority is the safety of our pupils and staff across our network of primary, secondary and ASN schools, as well as our early learning and childcare settings.
We understand that you will have questions, and as this news was only announced today, we will make further information available on how this impacts on our schools and facilities in the coming days.
We are preparing for pupils to return full-time to school on 12 August and we will be working closely with our schools and partners, including our early years and childcare provision to establish our plans, which we will communicate as soon as we are in a position to.
We are at the end of another school year and today would have been our Summer Service. This is a service where we get to celebrate the achievements of the academic year and also our wonderful pupils. Unfortunately, we are unable to meet together to celebrate in our usual way, so we are bringing the certificate awardees to you. Please click on the link below to go through our Prize giving Powerpoint.
We are incredibly proud of all our Langloan pupils and thank them for always giving of their best and for being the great ambassadors for our school. Thank you to our parents and carers for their continued support through what has been a challenging end to the school year. We appreciate your support!
Please find attached a Frequently Asked Questions response which was developed through work with Parent Council groups across the authority. It is also available to view on the Council website.
This should have been the day when we all gathered in the hall to watch our little ones celebrate their graduation.
They would have enchanted you with their performance on the stage. They would then have left to change into their graduation gowns and be presented with their books and certificates.
These are unprecedented times! Who would have thought that we would now be using a Power Point instead of our live performance? Never the less, let’s focus on what an important milestone this is for your wee one.
As a staff, we would just like to say what a privilege it has been to be part of your child’s Learning Journey so far. We would now like to wish them every success for the future.
Your books and certificates have all been safely delivered to your new primary schools, for you to collect during your induction.
You are all little stars. Remember to shine brightly!
Thank you to all of our Parents/Carers for your patience and cooperation in awaiting information about the new session in August. As you will be aware, these are unprecedented times and we have been working very hard to ensure the Health & Safety of our pupils and staff is in place, in line with NLC specifications.
Letters will be sent out at the start of next week to tell you which class you child(ren) has been allocated, who their teacher will be and what days they have been allocated to attend school.
Thanks for all of your ongoing support with this matter.
