Parent Portal

North Lanarkshire Council have introduced a new online system for parents/carers to use when completing forms, online payments and updating data for their child.  This digital portal is called Parent Portal and it will allow you to check the contact information we hold for your child, ensuring we can keep it updated at all times.  It will also allow you complete letters online, make online payments for school dinners and school trips/outings as well as notify us of your child’s absences etc.

In this current climate, it will also allow us to reduce the amount of paper we use in school as well as manage the amount of paper moving backwards and forwards between home and school.  We would encourage all of our parents to get on board with this new online approach! Please click the links below to read information from NLC on the Parent Portal. You will find step by step instructions as well as helpful videos to take you through setting up your child’s account and using the system.

Social Distancing

Good afternoon,

Can we please remind all parents and carers to adhere to the 2m social distancing advice put in place by the Scottish Government when dropping off/picking up you child(ren).  We have received a number of phone calls from concerned parents regarding large gatherings on the pavement outside the school, making it difficult for people passing in the street or parents trying to gain access to the nursery gate.  Due to the current pandemic, North Lanarkshire Council policy is that no parents/carers are allowed in the school playground.  To help with the flow of traffic we have a staggered start and finish time to try and alleviate congestion.

Please help us by:

  1. arriving at the time slot you have been allocated for drop off/pick up.
  2. leaving the area promptly as soon as you have dropped off/picked up your child(ren)  Our school playground is manned by three members of staff, one in each zone, to supervise children on arrival.
  3.  avoiding gathering in groups whilst waiting outside the school.

We are aware that this is something new/different for us all but we need to all work together to ensure we are keeping everyone safe.  Staff are training the children to only step out of the gate if they see someone waiting for them.  They will remain in the playground if they cannot see anyone.
