School Closure Information

We are fully aware that this is a daunting and uncertain time for everyone.  In light of the recent update from NLC we will be providing school closure learning packs for all of our pupils.  A variety of early level, first level and second level resources can be accessed on the school closure tab of our school blog.  https://blogs.glowscotland.org.uk/nl/langloanprimary/

We have also created class folders which will contain school closure learning grids and other resources set by your child’s class teacher within the pupil area of Sharepoint on Glow.  As you will appreciate our main focus has been on educating the pupils this week and keeping them calm.  These resources will be uploaded in due course and will be regularly updated where possible.  You can access this using the pupils username and login.  You then click on the sharepoint tile and then access the pupil area.  In this area you will find folders for each class. In the meantime please use all available links/ resources provided on our blog feed and school closure tab.

We contacted you today to gather information on those pupils who do not have internet access at home.  Thanks to those parents who got back to us today.  Learning packs will be available for collection on Friday between 10.30-12pm but only for those pupils who do not have access online.  You must notify us in advance if your child is in this category.

All pupils should receive their Glow usernames and passwords either today or tomorrow. They spent time in class ensuring they could log on and looked at some areas in Glow they could use with their teachers.  I am fully aware however, that as parents you will require the necessary instructions to access this site too.  I will attach an instruction manual in a separate post either tonight or tomorrow to help you.

We appreciate your co-operation and patience during this uncertain and difficult time.

Mrs Paterson
