The school is willing to devote time and energy to community projects.  We aim to be a school in which our community can take a pride in.  Our strong links with the local church enables us to maintain community involvement.

The school continues to look for appropriate projects in the wider community because we feel local residents, businesses and organisations have much to contribution to the preparation of young people for life beyond school.  We have strong links with St Andrew’s Hospice, who are our business partner.

We actively encourage visitors from the wider community into the school.  Pupils can gain an insight and an awareness of the world of work when those such as fire and police officers are invited into the school.

An important link with other primary schools is through sports activities which have a central rolein promoting healthy attitudes towards participation, competition, winning and losing, fair play and acceptance of decisions made by others.  The school is an associated primary of Coatbridge High School and we have scheduled contact throughout the year to exchange information and for co-operation in curricular areas.
