Start the week afresh by choosing a new ‘Book of the Week’ to read everyday. What are you going to choose, an old favourite or something different that you have not read for a while?

I have also uploaded some familiar stories for you to choose, watch and listen to.

Decide on a new chore to carry out for the week. What are you going to do this week, wash or dry the dishes, lay the table or load the washing machine?

This week let’s keep developing our independence by tidying up our own toys and activities when we have finished with them.

Monday is our Rebound morning so if you can, get out and practice your moves on a trampoline.

Girls, you were working on keeping your balance while seated as someone moves around you on the trampoline.

This week I have uploaded some maths games and activities that you might like to try. Boys, you could take a look at these games.

Hello Mull Class

Hello Mull Class,

Hope you had a good Thursday.

Today we could do some more French topic work. The Tour De France is the biggest cycling race in the world and it takes place every year in France. The cyclists have to travel on flat, hilly and mountainous routes. They also have time trials.

Over the next few weeks we could experience some of the Tour De France by getting out on our bikes or wheels and experiencing the stages that are covered in the race.

Today’s stage is the flat route. Find a flat route and cycle or travel on it for as far as you can. I have uploaded a power point about the Tour De France with supporting visuals.

Tour De France week1

Read your Book of the Week for the last time this week and don’t forget to carry out this weeks chore or to make or help make your own lunch and snack. Even if its not on your bike, get out in the fresh air for some exercise.

Stay safe, have fun and a lovely weekend,

Jennifer Moncrieff

50 Things To Do when school is not available – challenge 6

Challenge 6

Good morning everyone,

You may have seen or heard in social media that some schools are planning a ‘uniform day’ on Friday.  As this would be confusing to our children and young people, one of our mum’s has come up with an alternative idea which is one of Haysholm’s favourites!  We all love a pyjama day and have had such good fun in school before carrying out activities in our PJs.  Therefore on Friday 15th May, our teachers blogs will focus on activities linked to a PJ whole community event.

Remember it’s up to you whether you choose to take part or not.  All our teachers will be working from home in their PJ’s, myself included : )) so if you can … share photos via Facebook, Twitter or to the number you have and we can have a giggle #fun and #wellbeing.
