Primary 6a

Welcome to Primary P6a with Mrs McVittie!

How can you help at home?

Home learning is issued every month in the form of a paper grid. There are spelling, reading, talking/writing, maths and other activities available on this grid to help the children get used to completing homework tasks before beginning high school. Bug Club books are issued with homework and a reading card which tells the children the section of the book to focus on. The children have been told that these books live in their school bags! Meaning that as soon as they practice their reading they go straight back into their bags in case they are needed at school the next day.

Outdoor learning will be a big part of our learning this year so make sure your child comes to school dressed for the weather.

Please encourage your child to learn how to tie their shoelaces! There are many videos available on YouTube to help with this.

Please do not hesitate to call the school office with any questions or concerns. I am more than happy to return your call after school.

Our class twitter is @MrsMcVNewark.

Thank you for your continued support,

Hannah McVittie
