erm 2 – P2/1 Mrs Dyer

 I can’t believe that we’re in Term 2 already! We had a great start to P2/1 last term. It was really lovely getting to know the children and their individual personalities. As a class we have a regular routine in the morning: Individual morning greeting at the door, lunch selection, soft start play, good morning song, and the days of the week. The children picked their new morning songs for this term and decided that they want to learn the days of the week in French as we ended up learning the days of the week in Spanish last term.

 Our PE days have changed for this term. PE will be on a Monday and Friday. On a Monday we will be outside or in the classroom. We will have a slot in the gym hall on a Friday afternoon. Please ensure that your child is in relaxed uniform and is not wearing any jewellery. We will not change shoes for gym; therefore, separate gym shoes are not required. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch. The change of day is due to timetabling changes in the gym hall. This term Mr. Coyle will take the class to the ICT suite on a Thursday afternoon covering ICT and meta skills. The children will get to explore some Makedo resources with Mr Coyle too. You may have seen the fabulous masks they made using the Makedo kit for the first time.

Stay and Play

 We really enjoyed our first stay and play on Friday 25th October. We will have another stay and play on Friday 6th December 2024. Our class assembly will be the 9th of May 2025.
