This week in P1/2, our main focus has been all about food! We loved reading the story The Very Hungry Caterpillar together.

On Tuesday, we had a fantastic food tasting session. The children got to taste some of the foods from the story: apple, pear, plum, strawberry, oranges, a pickle, Swiss cheese, salami, a cupcake and a rocket leaf.

We had a great time using our senses. The children talked about what each food smelled like, what it felt like, and used brilliant words to describe how they tasted.

We are so proud of everyone, especially the children who were very brave and tried some foods they had never eaten before! Well done, P1/2!
