Our Learning in Room 5! 😁

Room 5 have been continuing to adjust to new routines in Primary 2. We are settling well and enjoying our new classroom. We have been very busy learning new skills and we wanted to share some of our learning with you.

E – We have been learning how to count in tens.

D – We have been counting in ones up to 100.

G – We have been completing a Number Talk each day where we count dots.

I – We have been learning 3D objects like a sphere and cube.

L – We have been completing calculations up to 20.

F – We have been doing our Number Stories 1-10.

O – We have been learning new sounds, ‘oa’ like Oakley.

On Tuesday, we had a special visitor in our class. Ian is part of our chaplaincy team and he came to our class and read us a story. The story was called ‘I Need Help’ and it was all about Jesus and helping others when we can. We are trying really hard to help our friends in class and in the playground. We look forward to seeing Ian again this Tuesday coming.

Thank you to those of you who attended our ‘Meet the Teacher’ event. It was great to meet you all and I hope you found the session useful. I will post the PowerPoint on Google Classroom when we have that set up. Just a little reminder, please continue to check school bags for letters. A note went out today regarding school collection at 3pm. From Monday, the children can be collected from our classroom door as part of a trial period. Thank you for your cooperation with this.
