A very warm welcome back to all children, young people, and colleagues across the city. We hope the return to school has gone smoothly and that everyone is beginning to settle into the new school year.

As we enter the first full week of term, there’s already lots to look forward to across our expressive arts programmes.

🎭 Glasgow Schools Youth Theatre (GSYT) returns to City Halls on Thursday 28th August. Enrolment for the musical theatre group (S1–S6) is now closed, with weekly rehearsals running from 6–9pm on Thursday evenings. Enrolment for the acting group (S1–S3) will open in October, with sessions running Fridays from 4:30–6pm.

🎨 We’re also excited to share that our Creative Careers Day will take place in City Halls on Thursday 18th September, 10am–3pm. This event is open to young people interested in exploring pathways into the creative industries – booking details coming soon!
