Saxophone Ensemble

Saxophone Ensemble gives young saxophonists the chance to rehearse and perform together as part of a specialist group.

Who it’s for

Saxophone Ensemble is aimed at saxophonists working at Grade 3 and above.

What happens

Pupils rehearse together as a saxophone ensemble, developing confidence, ensemble awareness and musical skill through group performance.

Where and when

Venue: City Halls, 87 to 101 Albion Street, Glasgow, G1 1LH.

Rehearsal and concert dates: Thursdays – please see the calendar for dates.

How progression works

As young people develop their musical and ensemble skills, they may also audition to join the Big Band, the Concert Band, the Symphonic Wind Band, and ultimately the Glasgow Schools’ Symphony Orchestra. Tutors and conductors will support this process when pupils are ready for the next step.

How to join

Please use the enrolment form here.
