ALIVE / Tha Thu Beò premiere

300 children, Skipinnish, and a sneak preview — now it’s the whole city’s turn

Earlier this week, more than 300 children performed ALIVE / Tha Thu Beò live at the CREATE Primary Choir Festival in City Halls, joined by members of Skipinnish for a special preview of the finished video ahead of its citywide premiere.

Tomorrow at 9.30am, ALIVE / Tha Thu Beò premieres for the whole of Glasgow. This year’s Youth Music Initiative (YMI) citywide project received 328 video submissions from 114 primary schools across the city — and every single submission features in the final film, creating a unique citywide performance from P1 to P7 pupils across Glasgow.

Schools are encouraged to watch the premiere together, in classrooms or assembly halls, and to share the link with parents and carers so families can celebrate their children’s involvement.

With thanks to every school, teacher, and YMI tutor who made this year’s project possible, and to Skipinnish for their support throughout.
