I grew up in a musical family with my Papa being a bass player and singer in Country bands and my Dad playing guitar in the house all the time. Growing up I listened a lot to Led Zeppelin, Jeff Buckley, Julian Bream, Pavel Steidl, Pink Floyd, Bombay Bicycle Club etc.

I started playing the guitar properly at the age of 12 and attended the RCS Juniors and went on to study Classical guitar at RCS for 5 more years up to Masters level.

I have been fortunate to play in various places in the UK from Ullapool to the Houses of Parliament. It was a lot of practice and travelling doing concerts etc so now I mostly teach and enjoy family life with my wife and two children and two cats!

It is a pleasure helping the young people of Glasgow schools to learn the guitar. Seeing individuals go on to improve in self confidence, musicianship, concentration and many other attributes is lovely to witness. It just shows how music helps to enhance our lives positively in a variety of ways 🙂

I look forward to many more years ahead of helping you all with your playing!
