World of work!

Primary four have had a busy few weeks and we are so excited to finally update you on all of our activities. We were lucky enough to get a visit from two employees of Santander bank. They helped us to understand ways to manage our money and helped primary four understand the importance of money management! Primary four had a great morning.

Enterprising Infants!

The boys and girls in Primary 1a have been very busy preparing for our Christmas fayre this Friday. We each made three decorations and held a pre-sale for our own families and friends to buy before the day of the fayre. By Thurday this week, we had made over £35!!! Bookbug Bags

The boys and girls in Primary 1a and 1b took home their Bookbug bags this week. We are all so excited to have our own copies of the three books that we read in class – ‘Gorilla Loves Vanilla’, ‘The Fourth Bonniest Baby in Dundee’ and ‘Little Owl’s Egg’. We can’t wait to share them with our families and friends!

As part of our topic on India, we have been creating some beautiful Mehndi designs. People in India decorate their skin with these detailed designs as part of various celebrations such as weddings and festivals. A Busy Week for Primary 6

Primary 6 have had a very busy week organising Road Safety Week for the whole school. On Monday we designed a Road Safety pledge poster some of our pledges included; making sure adults do not use their mobile phone while driving, to always wear a seatbelt, making sure that we do not distract drivers and reminding drivers to stick to the speed limit. Eco Committee Meeting!

The Eco Heroes had a great meeting this afternoon to discuss the on-going plans for the school! There were lots of great ideas from the team including having ‘Litter Ninjas’ in the upper school playground to ensure that no litter is left after play time and lunch time. Road Safety Week

This week was road safety week.  We learned about the Green Cross Code.  We also watched a film about how long a car takes to stop at difference speeds.  The class also made a pledge to try and wear bright reflective clothes when outside during the winter months.

Using ICT

What fun we had today in the ICT suite. The boys were all on task logging on, searching on GOOGLE and completing literacy games. They worked well in partners and reached new levels.  Very proud of our Young Literacy Team today ……. Now to practise at home!! Mrs Woolfries
