Mental Health Awareness Week

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

It has been a very busy and fun-filled week at Balornock as we get ready for the festive season! We are all getting ready for the P1 Nativity next week, had a trip to Barmulloch library for Sleeping Beauty Panto and finished the week off with our annual Christmas Fayre! Here are some of Santa’s little helpers (a.k.a our House Captains) decorating our school’s Christmas tree!

On Tuesday afternoon we invited our families to come and join us for Art! This term we have been learning about the Rainforest, last week we learned that there are different layers of the Rainforest. Go Run for Fun!

Last Friday P7 and p6 took part in a Fun Run at Robroyston park. It was a mile long and there was lots of different schools there. We met an athlete who had competed in the Commonwealth Games and had won a bronze medal. It was tiring but good fun, and lovely to cheer each other on. Let’s get groovy!

We have been learning about fractions and how to share things in equal parts! We have continued to use this knowledge and we are beginning to understand where fractions are placed on a number line. We started with a full piece of newspaper: we used this piece of newspaper as a dance floor! To make the dancing harder we folded the newspaper in half, then half again.
