This week Primaries 3-7 have been working hard to develop their before writing strategies. We have been exploring recount stories. We have been learning about questioning strategies during our comprehension time in class. Primary four are questioning experts and they understand that literal questions are questions that are in the text, on the lines! Some examples of literal questions that primary four know are “can you explain what happened in chapter one?” and “who is the main character?” Primary four have worked hard to make board games that we can use
Primary 7 have been showing their responsible, caring and generous side, by giving up some of their lunch time to give other classes a wee treat. The Eco Heroes had their first official meeting this afternoon with Miss McCarte where they discussed lots of important items that will be undertaken this session to ensure Balornock continues to be an Eco friendly school.
