Primary four have been learning about Scottish history and inventors. We were learning all about Alexander Graham Bell and how he invented the telephone. We know that electricity was passed along a copper wire and that the ear piece and mouth piece of the first ever phones converted the sound of our voice in to electricity! On Wednesday, we went on a trip to the Science Centre in Glasgow. We had lots of fun exploring all of the science activities and we even visited the planetarium to learn about the journey that Santa makes on his sleigh during Christmas eve to deliver presents around the world! This week in Primary 3 children have been learning about money. They have learnt to list coins to buy items from the shop and work out their change too! They have also taken part in a variety of activities and have had the choice to complete mild, spicy, hot and even extra hot tasks! They have challenged themselves and are becoming more confident when dealing with money.
Over the last few weeks Primary 3 have been leaning about The Green Cross Code and how to keep themselves safe when out and about. They have taken part in presentations, workshops and various lessons, helping to support their understanding of how to keep safe and the importance of using the Green Cross Code. All the boys and girls in Primary four were entered in to an exciting competition called Urban Games. The children were given lots of opportunity to try out new sports like street dance and parkour!
