Planting in the Garden

The Stars class were busy this week planting potatoes and onions. We must keep them well watered to grow. This week’s outing group visited Pets at Home where we saw clown fish just like those that live on the Great Barrier Reef.

Superhero Stories!

* SUCCESSFUL LEARNERS, CONFIDENT INDIVIDUALS *

The Moonbeams class were very successful learners today when doing our imaginative writing. We used dice to randomly choose who, what and where we were writing about. We then used this information to create superhero stories.

* CONFIDENT INDIVIDUALS, RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS *

The Moonbeams class loved today’s visit from Shirley Husband, the Harris McCoo story book author. She read us her brand new story about Betty McCoo and we also recapped on her original Harris McCoo story.

Of course, we were delighted that she also brought her famous friend Harris McCoo along with her and we had a bit of a dance to his famous song!

So, the superheroes took to the sensory garden and worked with they tyres adding and subtracting making piles of 5 and 10. They were all Successful Learners during the lesson and even managed to get The Hulk to calm down by doing a little bit of gardening.
