50 Things in the Outdoors – Making a Scarecrow

This Transition class were Effective Contributors when they all worked together to make a scarecrow for our raised bed. The boys helped spread out the plastic sheet to hold the hay and then took turns stuffing the scarecrow. Unfortunately the pumpkin head was just too heavy so a decorated hay stuffed bag had to be the replacement.

Confident Individuals – 50 Things in the Outdoors, Mud Pies!

The Transition boys got mucky this week. Instead of working in the mud growing their vegetables the boys got stuck in making mud pies! They were Confident Individuals mixing the soil with the water and making their own shapes. Lots of scrubbing of hands ensued afterwards!

50 Things and Class Theme

The Sungazers have been enjoying their theme story called ‘No Such Thing As Nessie!’  They are good at picking out some of the characters and key words in the story.  We have also been having great fun with bubbles as part of our 50 Things Challenge.

50 Things – Rain

Confident Individuals/Responsible Citizens

What a wet, blustery day!  The Snowdrops have been experiencing the sights, sounds and feelings of rain!  Some of us enjoyed splashing in puddles and some liked the sound of the rain from underneath an umbrella.

The Transition boys enjoyed a lovely walk to the Kay Park. They were Responsible Citizens when they fed the ducks,  walked safely round the pond and completed two more of their fifty things.

50 Things Challenge

 

Today we combined our numeracy with our 50 Things Challenge. We counted  our conkers and then played with them, covered them in paint and rolled them in a tray and created some wild art.
