Children in Need 2021

The Bluebells were confident individuals and successful learners while taking part in class activities to learn about Children in Need. We enjoyed the story Pudsey’s Great Fundraiser and engaged well with the sensory props. We got crafty making our own headband to transform us into Pudsey. We enjoyed watching the Children in Need duck race and raced our own ducks down ramps.

The Moonbeams donated money to the Children In Need Charity and came dressed in spots to help support and raise awareness for the excellent work the charity do to help ensure every child in the UK is safe, happy, secure and has the opportunities they need to reach their potential.

The children enjoyed some Pudsey inspired activities today and put their cooking, counting and colouring skills into practice. Take a look at our fun day!

Children in Need 2021

This year we had fun in class celebrating Children in Need, we were effective contributors to raise awareness of the purpose of Pudsey.  To signify Pudsey’s importance we created a bracelet and a head band.

We took part in games and challenges, we like a challenge in the Oak class.  We took part in some mindfulness activities, which helped us all calm and relax after our games.

We danced the afternoon away with a class disco and some dance competitions.

Children in Need in the Pine Room

This week we were looking at the letter E again in literacy, looking at words that beginning with this letter and in art we were successful learners and made a picture of a egg using tissue paper squares and PVA glue.

In SQA Communication we finished our Brown Bear Story, we sorted through the characters again, signed the animals and colours, danced along to the rap, and worked on our colouring books.

Karen was here on Wednesday to do some Indian Dance with us focusing on Animals that started with the letter E – we were very confident individuals and had great fun.

For SQA Numeracy we played a game of ‘Haggis Drive’, as we have started our Scottish Theme, working on our counting skills and drawing in the pieces of the Haggis.

Each class has a paper  lantern to decorate to be displayed in the Atrium for Christmas, with our Vice ECO Captain we decided on a very topical theme of Global Warming!!!

Give the Snowman back his hat back!!!

So our Snowman is starting to melt – remember reuse, recycle and reduce!!!

Working on another Christmas Project.

For Children in Need we enjoyed a lovely social snack, had a wee Disco (not as long as Sophie Eliis-Bextor’s!!) And made some dotty Pugsy Faces.

Have a Smashing Weekend Everyone!!!

Snowdrops Ice Pack – What I choose to do

Effective Contributors     Confident Individuals

The Snowdrops explored some of the roles that people play in the community including firefighters, nurses and police officers. They were able to confidently choose who might help them in different situations. The Snowdrops then had a chance to choose the job that they would like to do in the Snowdrops class. Everyone is looking forward to carrying out their jobs! Well done, Snowdrops!
