FAOL Eco/ Sustainable Development- Recycled Houses

We have been Responsible Citizens and have been collecting recyclable items from home and bringing them into school so that we can use them as part of our theme work. We have been turning our ‘junk’ items into our own model village, complete with a church, a supermarket, and a few different styles of house too.

We worked very independently coming up with our own ideas and making our own choices!

Cooking & Listening Skills

All the boys were successful learners when completing their listening comprehension tasks.  There has been great improvement over the seven lessons.

The boys were all effective contributors when coming together to make haggis bon bons.  They all enjoyed tasting their hard work.  Jack was excellent at reading the recipe to the boys.  Everyone worked hard at completing the cooking tasks as independently as possible.

The Beech class are learning how to look after ourselves during different personal care routines.  We experienced the different smells and textures of some products and then thought about which part of the body we would use them on and when.  We were all effective contributors as we took turns to go through out toiletry bags and place the products in the right place.
