We were so excited today to have our first experience of Willowbank’s new soft play which was officially opened today by Harris McCoo.
We especially loved the new ball pool.
Thank you Friends of Willowbank!

We loved being invited to the Sunflowers French themed café this week. We were effective contributors and tried lots of new foods. We also explored enjoying some French music and dancing.
* SUCCESSFUL LEARNERS, CONFIDENT INDIVIDUALS *
The Moonbeams class were very successful learners today when doing our imaginative writing. We used dice to randomly choose who, what and where we were writing about. We then used this information to create superhero stories.
What do you think?
* CONFIDENT INDIVIDUALS, RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS *
The Moonbeams class loved today’s visit from Shirley Husband, the Harris McCoo story book author. She read us her brand new story about Betty McCoo and we also recapped on her original Harris McCoo story.
Of course, we were delighted that she also brought her famous friend Harris McCoo along with her and we had a bit of a dance to his famous song!
As a continuation of last week, the boys in Transition decided they wanted to do their maths outside. So, the superheroes took to the sensory garden and worked with they tyres adding and subtracting making piles of 5 and 10. They were all Successful Learners during the lesson and even managed to get The Hulk to calm down by doing a little bit of gardening.
It was the last Pupil Council meeting of this term and all the boys in Transition represented their class. They were all Confident Individuals during the week leading up to and during the meeting working hard to cast votes and come up with any new ideas to help them “Be The Best They Can Be” at school. Keiran was our spokesperson for this meeting and he did an excellent job delivering our ideas and decisions to the rest of the school representatives.
On Thursday the boys in Transition were all Effective Contributors when working in the cookery room. We have been focusing on healthy treats in cooking over the past while and decided the boys deserved a wee treat so we made some flapjacks. There was no picture of the final product as the whole thing was devoured by both boys and staff.
