The Bluebells class enjoyed a science activity related to our “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” theme. We managed to make rain clouds in a jar using water, shaving foam and blue food colouring. It was lots of fun!

The Snowdrops have enjoyed finding and exploring toys that we have to ‘push’ or ‘pull’. We also went on a walk around our school and found lots of different things that have to be pulled or pushed. Everyone found favourite toys to play with that had to be pushed or pulled!

The Bluebells class are loving their theme “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs”. During the film, there are lots of scenes with different types of weather.
We had a challenge to find instruments and materials that reminded us of different weather – sunshine, rainy days, windy days and thunder. We enjoyed playing these instruments along to the weather song and had to listen carefully so we knew if it was our turn to play or not.
As part of our mini-topic, the Beech class are venturing round the world to explore different cultures and cuisines to help us create a world recipe book. This week we have been exploring Italy!
We learned some Italian words and phrases, learned about (and made) volcanoes just like Mount Vesuvius, took part in some spaghetti themed STEM activities and even made our very own spaghetti Bolognese 
We were very successful learners completing all the different activities!
We all had an exceptional day at the FoW fun day that was organised for the whole school last week. As a class of animal lovers (mostly all of us!) we were delighted to have the chance to be up close and personal with a variety of different animals including owls, ponies, rabbits and ducks!
There was also an opportunity to get our face painted and play games in our PE hall which had a bouncy castle set up in it! We were all effective contributors as we waited our turn and helped each other out to take part.
The Stars class had a fantastic time at the Friends of Willowbank Fun Day. Thanks to the Brass and Granite who gifted picnic boxes which we enjoyed at snack time. They were very tasty indeed. We met beautiful therapy ponies, had fun activities in the hall and petted gorgeous guinea pigs, rabbits, very noisy ducks and a tortoise. We had a very happy day.
The transition owls took turns at looking and holding the owls this made them Confident Individuals

The Bluebells class were very brave and kind meeting lots of animals during the fun day. We met bunnies, mice, guinea pigs, a tortoise and ducks!
Transition class grew their own vegetables, then used this to make a pasta vegetable dish to share with beech class being Responsible Citizens

The Moonbeams had a fantastic day today. The children enjoyed meeting the Ponies, clapping them and taking them for a walk. They then got to meet some Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Ducks, Tortoise and Mice! The children were very responsible and gentle while holding the little animals. They had great fun on the inflatable slide, playing games and getting their faces painted.
