Restorative Practice Information Night & Parent Council AGM

Restorative Practice Information Evening & Parent Council AGM

“My child’s school uses Restorative Practices…but I don’t know what this means”.

Join the Onthank Primary School Staff & Community for an information evening to find out why our school uses Restorative Practices, what this looks like, and the positive impact and experiences shared by all.

Parents and families of all stages from P1 – P7 are warmly invited.

P5 – P7 pupils also warmly invited for ‘Restorative Workshop’ in The Gym Hall.

When? – Monday 2 September 6.30pm – 7.30pm

Where? – Onthank Primary School, Assembly Hall

Why? – Have your chance to find out more about our school’s positive practices

Onthank Primary School Parent Council AGM will proceed the session from 7.30pm – 8.30pm.

P7 Athletics Team

Our athletics team will be training weekly at the athletics arena, starting Wednesday 4 September, 4 – 5pm.

Children should wear sporty clothes and trainers. They should bring a non fizzy drink and any inhalers or medication they may need.

Car sharing has worked well in the past. Please let us know if your child needs to leave early for another commitment – that’s not a problem.

Welcome back to big changes!

 

We are delighted to welcome our children back to a much improved Onthank Primary.  Although not yet complete we want to thank Onthank staff, parent volunteers  and East Ayrshire staff who worked over the weekend to get everything ready for pupils. Our new classes look great and we look forward to  welcoming pupils.  Read more

We hope you all had a good enjoyable holiday  .

We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday 19 August 2019.  smiley

For our new P1 children – on the first day you have a time to come once all our other classes are in. We look forward to welcoming you  into school. Parents/carers and friends can come into your classroom, see you settled in class and take some photographs.

P1A Miss Adam and P1B Mr Boyd 9.30 am – 9.50 am,

P1C Mrs Cree and P1M Mrs McKie 9.50 am – 10.10 am. 

Our Senior Leadership Team will be in the playground to welcome everyone. Class teachers’ names will be at doors to show pupils  where to line up.

At 9.00 am the bell will ring as many parents have requested this to return.  Your child will enter / exit at the following areas:

P1A & P1C enter & exit by P1 door (at toilets)

P1B & P1M enter & exit by class fire doors (except on wet days – enter by P1 door at toilets).

P2C, P2K, P2S & P2ST enter & exit by door in link corridor-enter in small playground next to P1 door.

P3C, P3H, P3M & P3S enter & exit by door at far end of P3/4 playground

P4E, P4EL, P4K & P4W enter & exit by P4 door (in middle of P3/4 playground).

P5I, P5K & P5T enter & exit by P5 door in centre playground.

P6A, P6F, P6M & P6N enter & exit by old P5 door in centre playground.

P7M enter & exit by old P5 door in centre playground

P7MC & P7S enter & exit by door in link corridor and use gate in centre playground next to P5 door.

PO enter & exit by P3 door in P3/4 playground

From Tuesday 20 August there will be a soft start for all Primary 1 classes between 9.00am and 9.30am and finish at 2.30pm.

 

 

 

Onthank is Blooming!

Our school is in bloom.
Kale, broccoli parsnips, herbs, sage, radishes, potatoes, peas, runner beans and carrots

 

 

Over the summer the P6 Dig for Victory effort has produced an abundance of fruit and vegetables. Pupils will return to school next week and can enjoy some of the produce we gave to the kitchen to prepare. Well done everyone in last sessions P2, P3, and P6.
