P6 Parents – Online Learning Support

P6 Parents/Carers,

Each of our P6 classes have their own Microsoft Teams pages. We will be uploading work to these for the children to complete at a time that suits them.

Feedback so far suggests the best way to login to Microsoft Teams is to download the app onto your device. At the point of login, children should use their full Glow email address.

E.g gw14johnsonboris@glow.sch.uk

Most of the children have been trained in how to logon, find the relevant work/activities and upload.

If you have  any technical difficulties logging in or accessing Microsoft Teams then please leave a comment on the P6 blog page and we will do our best to help solve the problem.

If your child has been absent and has not received their Learning Pack, please contact the office.

Many thanks, Team P6

Thank you to Murrie for helping us train and to the supporters who endured the freezing cold arena! Brilliant to have some of our ex-athletes supporting us too! ?

Primary 6 and PACE Theatre

Our Primary 6 classes worked with PACE Theatre yesterday morning to produce a short anti bullying play which was performed to the P5 year group and our P6 parents.

The children worked extremely hard in the morning to learn actions, lines and stage directions.  The show delivered a strong anti bullying message and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Thank you to all the adults who were able to join us for the performance. It was great to see so many people there. We’d love to hear your comments about the show below.

Thank you to Mrs Williams for organising this excellent experience. ?

P6A to Valentin Farm at Dumfries House

Today P6A headed to Dumfries House to visit Valentin Farm. The children had a great day and learned lots along away. Highlights from today were ‘milking’ a cow, feeding the animals and holding chicks.

Thanks to our parent helpers for their fantastic assistance today!

No Pens Day in P6A

Primary 6A have had a very productive day during their No Pens Wednesday. The class worked hard and participated fully in talking and listening activities, maths using laptops, drama work portraying John Muir’s life and nature art work where the children studied the leaves, colours, textures to create a new picture.

Joe commented, ‘ Today I liked the fact that we could just put our pencils down and get up instead and be more active in our learning. My favourite bit was using my imagination to create my leaf ladybug.’

Phoebe explained, ‘Sometimes today I wanted to write things down but instead I had to talk and explain myself.’
