We were lucky enough to have our Community Police Officer PC Calum Scott at our school today to help promote our Anti- Bullying week. PC Scott had the opportunity to visit lots of our classes and meet lots of our pupils as well as meeting some parents in the playground.

P6 Football squad will be competing in the Junior 7s football competition tomorrow at Grange Academy Astro 3pm – 5pm.

Congratulations to our swimming team, who represented our school on Saturday at the Citadel in Ayr. All the children swam brilliantly and made us feel proud!

We had a very successful ‘Welly Wednesday’ phoneme hunt! We were looking for things which contained the phonemes ‘ck’ and ‘ai’.
We were very lucky to begin our hunt by spotting the most beautiful ‘rainbow’. By the end of the hunt we were very ‘mucky’ but we had so much fun!

Sophie in P5B won 2 Bronze medals on Sunday 4th November at Bellahouston Leisure Centre in Glasgow in the City of Glasgow Gymnastics Club Floor & Vault Competition. Sophie won one of her medals in the team event and went on to win overall for the floor and vault competition.

Well done Sophie, we are all very proud of you!

The Eco Committee are looking for any unwanted plastic or cardboard boxes  to help recycling within the classes.  Every class recycles plastic and paper.

Any donations to the front office would be gratefully received.

P3 and P4 are going to the Odeon Cinema to see ‘Peter Rabbit’ on Tuesday 13 November.  The bus will leave school at 9.15 am and return by lunchtime.  Pupils should bring a Cinema snack and a non-fizzy drink.  The cost of this outing is £3 per pupil to be paid through ParentPay.
