The children have been planting flowers. They have been learning how to look after plants watering the plants in the garden.

A few children used flowers to create pieces of art.

The children continue to explore mark making in a range of ways.

Kiera has been manipulating play dough in different ways breaking this into smaller parts using scissors. She has also used the play dough to build.

In the garden, some children have shown interest in exploring numbers.

Both indoors and out, children have shown great interest in investigating sand.

In bubble A, they have started their new Abc and beyond story the crocodile who didn’t like water. So far they have been learning about the words strange and decision.

A few children have shown interest in dinosaurs through small world play.

Others have been developing their gross motor skills through climbing and exploring large loose parts.

   

Some children have been developing their skills in riding a pedal bike.

A few children have been developing their fine motor skills and cutting skills using scissors and manipulating clay and wood.

Freddy came up with the idea of creating an island. He worked with Josie gathering play dough and lots of loose parts from around the garden to create an island then used it within role-play.

A few children have shown interest in role-play using people figures. One child used recycled materials to create their own house.

In bubble B, they are reading Supertato as their Abc and beyond story. They have been learning about the words round and broccoli.

Some of the children have been developing their fine motor skills using tweezers to catch the evil pea in the story.

In the home corner, children were developing their independence skills cutting up vegetables. Harley used the vegetables to make broccoli soup.

Others have been using vegetable characters to retell the story and create new stories of their own through role-play.

In Word Aware some of the children have been learning about the word long. A couple of children used the string to create a long line of reels.

In group time, one thing we are developing is social skills. We have been playing different games together and learning to take turns.

In the garden, some children have been developing their gross motor skills through participating in assault courses.

A group of girls initiated a ball game. They organised the game themselves and took turns rolling the ball to one another inviting others to join in too.

Ariana, revisited the story Zog. She looked at the pictures in the book and recalled some of the events retelling the story.

A number of children continue to express an interest in mini beasts searching for these in the garden discussing and investigating these with others.
