It is our turn to do an assembly on Friday. Here is a wee sneak peek of our rehearsal. Check back on Friday to see what we are doing!
Reduce, Re-use, Recycle and Compost
Recycling art – Jar Tealights
On Friday we made some tealight holders by re-using glass jars we had been collecting. We covered them with squares of tissue paper and a thin layer of watered down glue. We added some sequin sparkles around the top to make them look even more special. Keep looking out for more recycled art over the coming weeks!
This Superstar liked them so much she went home and made her own!
2 Graph
We have been learning how to draw bar graphs correctly from information we have gathered in a table. Today we used a computer program called 2 Graph to display information we had gathered in our class surveys.
We also looked at how we could display the same information in different ways such as pie charts and line graphs.

Mind Mapping
Â
Today we brainstormed what rubbish is and made a class mind map. We will be using our mind map to ask questions and research what really is rubbish and what we can do to reduce, re-use, recycle and compost our waste.
More planting
Arbroath Video
On Monday, we continued to make our video about Arbroath for our wiki. A small group of us visited Gayfield, Pleasureland and the Signal Tower Museum. Unfortunately, everything seems to be closed or empty at the moment but we are doing our best!
A lot of rubbish!
Our new topic is a lot of rubbish! We will be learning all about recycling and why we should be doing it. Keep checking back to see what we are up to.
Here is a wee game to get us started. Can you sort the rubbish?

Allotment
A wee group of us went over to the allotment at lunchtime with Mrs Stewart and Mrs Finlayson. We dug another trench and planted some more potatoes.
We are really excited because the raised beds are going to be built next week.
