Group 4 trip to Dynamic Earth
Group 4 pupils had a fantastic trip to Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh. They enjoyed learning about how the Earth was formed millions of years ago by exploring the different areas there.
Group 2 – Almond Valley
Group 2 had a great day at Almond Valley last week.

Healthy food exploration in Red Class
Throughout our growing topic, Red class have had lots of opportunities to explore different fruit and vegetables that are grown. Over the last two weeks we have tried lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, grapes, kiwi and orange. This week we were even using our fine motor skills to thread some fruit on skewers to make some edible caterpillars! Most of us thought they were delicious!
Red Class’ new playground
This week Red Class have had great fun re-exploring our playground as it has recently been re-surfaced. Seeing as it is Literacy week too, we have been able to take our friend Elmer outside for some photos!
Visitor in Silver Class
We got to meet Bessie who is a trained guide dog! We enjoyed meeting Bessie.
Chinese New Year!
Silver Class have been looking at Chinese New Year. A Dragon visited class and we tasted different foods traditionally eaten.

Happy New Year from Red Class
Happy New Year from Red class. It has been lovely having everyone back in class this week. We have started our animal topic for this term where we have introduced Old McDonald had a farm. We have enjoyed listening to the song, matching farm animals, feeding the farm animals and even washing them this week too!
PowerChair Football
Some of our Pinewood students had the amazing chance last Thursday to participate in West Lothian’s inaugural Powerchair Football event, which took held at Winchburgh Sports Hub. It was a terrific experience for our students, with some of them using power chairs for the first time.
