Tonight it is going to rain!
I am definitely going to spend as much time outdoors today as possible!
For movement, lets go outside for some morning stretches.
For Life-skills today is there anything you need to sort out in your garden before the rain comes? Do you need to put away toys and games or take in blankets and cushions? How about checking that the plant pots are somewhere where the rain can water them.
First lesson of the day is ICT so check out Kirsty’s posts in the ICT section.
Then it is time for Dance with Rachel – Great!

Then it’s time to check out Sign of the Day with Lorna.
In Fiddly Fingers there is another origami animal to try. Today, try making a jumping frog.
Then it is time for lunch. I’ll be having my lunch outside today because I think it will be too cold to go outside tomorrow.
After lunch it is time for Gardening / CDT with Scott. I wonder if he is getting things sorted in his garden before the rain arrives?
Last thing of the day is Health and Well-being. Why not make a Happy Poster? Think of all the things that make you happy and then write or draw them on a poster. Decorate your poster and then find somewhere to put it to remind you of all your happy things.
You might have seen some ribbons tied onto the school gates near you – but have you seen yarn bombing? this is using wool around trees or sticks – have a look at these examples!
I hope you have had a nice weekend and enjoying some time outdoors in the sun.
For Outdoor Learning today we are going to play Rainbows. You may have managed to see a few Rainbows lately and maybe later in the week you will see some again. For Rainbows though we usually need a little rain first.
Activity 1
Can you name the colours of the rainbow and sing the rainbow song? If not don’t worry try singing along to the rainbow song. Rainbow Song
Activity 2
In this activity we are going to head outdoors with an adult and get some fresh air. You can use your garden or go for a nice walk. When outdoors your task is to try and find something that matches each colour of the rainbow. If you want to challenge yourself you can ask an adult to time how long it takes or set a 10 minute limit and see how many things you can find in that time.
Activity 3
We have a supercool Science experiment for you to create your own rainbow in your house. To find out how just watch the short video clip and tray it for yourself. Remember you may need an adult to help. Rainbow Science Experiment
Activity 4
Can you create your own Rainbow of colours? You can be as creative as you want.
Maybe you will use flowers, clothes, pictures or even colour your own rainbow with pens and paper. This part is up to you. Use your imagination.
Note: Please remember when going outdoors that today will be really warm. It would be a good idea to have some water and sun screen on.
