Hello boys and girls
Hope you are all well. Here is the link to Thursday’s Story Time From Home. This isn’t a story that I’ve read in school before so it might be a new one that you haven’t heard before.
I hope you enjoy it!

Hello everyone
I hope that you are still enjoying the nice weather. I am in the hub school today so won’t be able to respond to messages and emails.
If you haven’t already done so, you can vote for your choice of story theme for the week beginning Monday 8th June. You will need to click on the link below.
Here is the link to today’s minibeast story which I hope you enjoy!
Have a good day!

I have been busy all morning, alongside the nursery ladies, watching a very interesting lady called Alice talk about what we can do to help you when we do finally go back to nursery or maybe even start school after the summer holidays. She spoke about how you, the nursery ladies, your teachers and your families may be worried. Things may be different to how we remember nursery but the one thing that we need to remember is that we will be there together. If you are worried, this is okay. Being worried is a normal emotion when we do not know how things will look.
Here is a story that will help you to understand more about worries.

We will be able to help each other. Alice said that all you need is love, and a great big hug! Here is a story all about finding the perfect hug. Although we may need to find a new way to hug our friends we will be able to do this together. Below is a link to a story about a perfect hug and how to find it.

She sang a lovely song that some adults at home may know- All you need is love but she added a bit. All you need is love, and a great big hug! See if you can add it to the song.

If you are starting school after the holidays, I want you to know that the teachers are all busy trying to work out how we can help you before this happens. Feeling nervous about starting school is normal (for parents too), but I want you to know that it is also very exciting. Even though you can’t get in to see your classroom or meet your teacher and buddy we will send you photos and letters so that you can have a look. It will be an exciting time as it will be new to us all. Your teacher can’t wait to find the perfect hug for you!
Take care boys and girls. I miss you all.

Have a lovely afternoon boys and girls. We can’t wait to hug you again. Take care and stay safe.
Good morning, everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday and spent lots of time outdoors enjoying our lovely weather. I enjoyed spotting lots of different minibeasts in my garden. Have you seen any minibeasts when you have been outside?
This story always made me laugh when we read it in class! I hope you enjoy watching it today.
We also have a P2 Health and Wellbeing blog for you to look at today.
Have a lovely day.

Good Morning 3a.
Wasn’t it windy earlier in the week! So windy that my whirly gig in the garden blew down and snapped. Obviously, it was a good drying day, so I had a load out to dry and it all ended up on the grass.
I’m looking forward to your emails this week letting me know your news and sharing your learning with me.
Today’s poem to enjoy and share is “Walking With My Iguana” by Brian Moses. This is one we haven’t heard before.
Today’s photo is of Hamish and Alexander. They are my friend’s ponies and she’s put them in my paddock to eat the grass down a bit.
Yet again I’ve got it the wrong way around!

Good morning everyone! I hope you have all had a great start to the week. Remember you can send Mr Brice and me any of the work you have completed. You can even just say hi and tell us what you have been up to.
I have allocated everyone a non-fiction book about tigers on Active Maths. Feel free to have a look at it, it might help anyone doing some research. I never knew Mr Brice had a tiger at home, how cool!!
Everyone in P3B will know my favourite animal is an Orca. Do you remember watching Free Willy together before we finished school? (Don’t tell anyone I nearly cried at the end!!). This week you have been asked to create a fact file about an animals that lives in the ocean, I made my own about Orcas. Have a look..
Here is today’s riddle..
Good Morning Primary 2B,
I hope you are all well and have been enjoying the lovely sunshine. I have been in my garden and going lots of long walks.
This week we are learning about symmetry and while I was on my walks I noticed how many things around us are symmetrical. If you have time perhaps you can make a list of objects you can see in the house and outside that are symmetrical . With some help you can also look at the fruit and vegetables we eat. Lots of fruit and vegetables are symmetrical. Get searching and see how many you can find.
I would love to hear how many you found?
Have fun on your symmetry hunt and if you’ve time remember to have a look at this week’s health and wellbeing challenge which is on a separate post.

Good morning,
I hope you have your thinking caps on…
… because it is time for some BRAINTEASERS to start the day off right!!!
Can you figure out how to answer the last sum?
You might need an adult to talk it through with. You might like to write your thoughts down, draw some pictures or use a number-line to help you.
How many words can you make using the letters in the Boggle grid?
Remember: each letter must touch the previous letter (diagonally is fine!)
Let us know how you got on with your brainteasers and don’t worry if you need to ask an adult to help you!
Take care and have a lovely day,
Your P1 Teachers
Good morning boys and girls!
This week I went a cycle along the canal and made some new friends! I met 2 beautiful horses and a mummy and daddy swan with their signets. I also saw some sheep, lambs and some cows too!
I was wondering if you are out a walk this week if you could have a look for me and see what animals you could find! There’s also lots of beasties and bugs around just now so keep your eyes peeled for them too!
Love Miss Wallace x
Here is the Health and Wellbeing Challenge for this week.
Learning Outcomes
Activity 1: Watch Jessie & Friends- Episode 2
Find the Jessie & Friends cartoons at https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/parents/jessie-and-friends-videos/
Watch Episode 2: Sharing Pictures with your child.
Use questions to chat about the cartoon.
For example:
o How did lots of people end up seeing the pictures?
o What made Mo feel sad?
o How did the friends get help when they needed it?
o What did Miss Humphrey say she would do to help?
Finish by watching the song again and having a sing-along!
Note: If your child wants to watch Episode 1 too, do watch it with them! It’s aimed at younger children, but it’s still fun to watch.
Activity 2: Draw a character
Ask your child to draw a picture of their favourite character singing the funny tummy song.
Ask them to include their favourite lyrics from the song on their drawing.
Remember – we’d love to see your work!
