Worries about Nursery and Starting School.

I have been busy all morning, alongside the nursery ladies, watching a very interesting lady called Alice talk about what we can do to help you when we do finally go back to nursery or maybe even start school after the summer holidays. She spoke about how you, the nursery ladies, your teachers and your families may be worried. Things may be different to how we remember nursery but the one thing that we need to remember is that we will be there together.  If you are worried, this is okay. Being worried is a normal emotion when we do not know how things will look.

Here is a story that will help you to understand more about worries.

We will be able to help each other. Alice said that all you need is love, and a great big hug! Here is a story all about finding the perfect hug. Although we may need to find a new way to hug our friends we will be able to do this together. Below is a link to a story about a perfect hug and how to find it.

She sang a lovely song that some adults at home may know- All you need is love but she added a bit. All you need is love, and a great big hug! See if you can add it to the song.

If you are starting school after the holidays, I want you to know that the teachers are all busy trying to work out how we can help you before this happens. Feeling nervous about starting school is normal (for parents too), but I want you to know that it is also very exciting. Even though you can’t get in to see your classroom or meet your teacher and buddy we will send you photos and letters so that you can have a look. It will be an exciting time as it will be new to us all.  Your teacher can’t wait to find the perfect hug for you!

Take care boys and girls. I miss you all.
