Some pupils from across the school have visited the Lyra Theatre in Edinburgh this week to be part of the immersive performance ‘Brrr’. There were snowballs, woolly jackets, confetti, wind machines and lots of music, lights and dancing. It was such a lovely show and everyone’s smiles showed us how much fun they were having.

World Down Syndrome Day
We celebrated World Down Syndrome Day at Beatlie by joining a live link to a giant clubbercise. Lots of fun, dancing, disco lights and of course odd socks! Thank you to everyone who sent in a £1 donation. We raised £45 to send to Down Syndrome Scotland. Well done.
Fischy music night
On Thursday 19th March we had a family night at Beatlie with a live Fischy music performance. There were pupils, siblings, staff, family and friends who all came along to sing, dance, listen and enjoy each other’s company. They sang lots of our favourites such as ‘You are a star’ and ‘Build Up’. We can’t wait to welcome them back next term to work in some of the classes.
Duntarvie End of Term round up
As always Duntarvie have had a jam packed and fun term and we can’t quite believe it is almost Christmas already! After our harvest fundraising cafe we have been busy shopping every week to buy items for the West Lothian foodbank. We delivered it all last week and managed to collect a whopping 62.2kgs in total! Thanks again to everyone who donated items or money.
We have also enjoyed lots of time out and about in the community including Swimming, Potter Around, Gentle exercise, Musically Active Dudes and Growing Together gardening project.
Hope everyone has a lovely Christmas and New Year and we look forward to welcoming all the pupils back in January.
Love Team Duntarvie
Harvest Cafe and Foodbank
Last week we celebrated harvest time by hosting a cafe for all our friends and families. There were lots of visitors. The pupils made some delicious autumn treats to share with everyone. There was also a collection for the foodbank and a raffle. In total we made £134 and also had lots of donations of tins and packets of food. The secondary pupils are looking forward to visiting the shops to spend the money buying other essential items for the foodbank. Great work everyone!

On our last week we have enjoyed an Easter Egg hunt in the garden and made some amazing Easter crafts and cards.
