Maths outdoors for Primary 3

Primary 3 were keen to take advantage of the sunny weather and take their maths learning outdoors!  We have been learning to add and subtract 2 digit numbers using different strategies.  These include empty number lines and using the 100 square to find the correct path.  Outside, we were chalking empty number lines on the path, we were making 100 squares and we were using string to make empty number lines for us to jump through.  By doing this, we got some fresh air and sunshine whilst learning! Here are some photographs of us in action.
