Dr Seuss

The class have been enjoying reading and listening to the work of Dr Seuss. So far they have managed to write an imaginative story, telling me what would happen if the Cat in the Hat visited them, and in a discussion we identified the personal safety issues that were highlighted in the story. Using the laptops they researched and completed a fact file on Dr Seuss, revealing their current ICT skills.  Well done Primary 4/5! More Dr Seuss next week.

Back to school.

The pupils in P7H are already hard at work and relishing the responsibilities that come with being  senior pupils.

Here they are taking part in a music lesson with our music specialist, Miss White. The pupils were challenged to create music using simple objects they were able to find around the classroom. Some groups were very creative and made some fantastic sounds.

Homework activity and Topic work

We had a wonderful time looking at all the objects the children brought in that begin with ‘s’, ‘a’ or ‘t’. The children were all really excited to show the class what they had and would like to show all of you at home.

The children also found out today that our topic this term is under the sea. We will be looking at lots of sea creatures and the environment that they live in. We are hoping to have lots of fun learning about all the creatures under the sea and have been busy at work learning about pufferfish.

Welcome to P1F

It has been lovely to meet all the wonderful children that are in P1F. We have had a very exciting first week and the children have been amazing at settling in and making lots of new friends.  We have had lots of fun exploring the classroom and  playing outside in the Quadrangle. We have been learning about ‘Biff, Chip and Kipper’ , our new sounds ‘s, a and t’ and how to form number 1.

Looking forward to next week filled with fun activities.
